'Let's sing a song about spring'- Primark and Forever 21 Haul

Spring is upon us, well kind of, April is always a mix of weathers (drip drip drop little April showers). But rain or shine there is always time for shopping I'm sure lots of people can agree with that! So when my mum and I went up to London last week we made a detour to Westfields at Stratford and had a wonder round, and spend what felt like an age in Primark, shortly followed by Forever 21, but I can certainly say I did not leave empty handed. So I thought I'd share the lovely Spring inspired items I got, starting with Primark;

There is a fair amount of Gingham is this post, so you have been warned, and also apologizes that the background is a bit crazy, due to all the pictures, but there is no place in my room which isn't like this!

Gingham boxy shirt-£10
Mint Peter Pan top- £6

Green Summer dress- £5 (what a bargain!)
Paisley printed trousers- £9
I could not believe what a bargain this dress was, especially considering its made out of fairly thick material, so a Spring/Summer must!
Pink Gingham midi skirt- £12
Green midi skirt- £12
I've gone a little midi skirt crazy recently, and after purchasing two from Primark, trust me I almost brought more but resisted the urge, and also ones from Asos and a charity shop, but its because they are a great fashion trend at the moment and I've fully jumped on the band wagon. They are great for Spring because you don't really need to wear tights with them, but they are long enough to still look Spring-ish without have all your legs on show, which is a big plus for me because where I am so pale my legs just look like milk bottles, which isn't the best of looks.

Grey Wizard of Oz roll sleeve top- £6
'Take me to Neverland' printed top- £6
As well as being a massive Disney fan, I also am a HUGGEE fan of musicals, in particular Wicked and The Wizard of Oz, so when I saw my friend Elise pick up this bargain of a top I knew I had to find one, all they had were 6's and 8's when I was there, so being a size 10 I was instantly disheartened, but I've found that the size 8 fits just fine, where is is a baggy fit its fine! I am in love with my Peter Pan top as well, and I think I'll save this one and wear it in Disney Land when I go, which is in 2 WEEKS!

Blue Gingham 'Prom style' dress- £17
Following on from the Wizard of Oz obsession when I saw this beautiful blue Gingham Summer dress I knew I had to have it. It is very Dorothy Gale inspired which  I love, and although I did think that £17 was a little pricey, it does have a small netted petticoat underneath so I guess that makes up for it.

Pink hair bow- £1.50
Pink and black hair clips- £1.50
Pastel roses and gold chain necklace- £3
Two pack pink scrunchies- £1.50
Primark have been fab for Spring/Summer hair accessories and jewellery recently, and they are so reasonably priced as well, I feel every time I go in there I'm pricking up a different coloured scrunchie!
Electric blue point toed shoes- £8
Recently I've been loving pointed toe shoes, and a few weeks ago I saw a pair very similar to these blue ones in New Look and they were £17, so practically double the price of these, but when I tried them on they didn't look right on, because I have very wide feet it looked as though they were spilling out, which wasn't good. So when I found these in Primark in the 'Wide fit' section I was having to have a double take. They are super comfy, look nice on and like half the price of the other ones I saw, what could be better?
Purple floral shorts- £8
Minnie Mouse sunglasses- £2 (each)
I picked up these shorts more for me to wear on my holiday later on in the year when I go to Spain, but these amazing Minnie Mouse sunglasses I picked up for me and Meg to wear in Disney Land in 2 weeks! We are going to look so hip and cool haha. The glasses were from the children section of Primark (says a lot really), but they were too cute not to buy.

Moving onto Forever 21 now, starting with the two accessories I brought:
Pastel jewel hair bands- £3.90
Pink sunglasses- £4.90

Red and orange jumpsuit- £19.75
Blue and yellow floral playsuit- £14.75
I saw the jumpsuit on a model in the shop and had to find it, and considering I'm fairly short it doesn't look too bad! Plus the great thing with jumpsuits is you can dress them up and down, depending on the occasion.
White rose off the shoulder top- £15
Then finally the last thing I brought was this Rose bud strappy crop top. What I particularly liked about this was that is almost has two scraps, the actual spaghetti straps that hold the top up, then the frilly straps that fall off the shoulders, which I though was super cute and Summery. I'd probably pair this with a long maxi skirt and make it almost Boho like.

Anywho that's my haul for today, I know its not very Disneyish but do not despair my Disney on Ice post will be up soon!

Cheerio!

Hannah
