Disney Land Paris- Day 5

So we're finally up to my last day in Disney Land Paris!
On the Thursday our train home wasn't until 6:02, so we still had pretty much a full day to savour the last few moments of being in Disney Land. We tried to pack as much as we could the night before, Meg had much more success due to her suitcase being about twice the size of mine. Yet she still managed to nearly forget something.
Meg getting hysterical after finding a cup under her bed.
I was stuffing as much as I could into every spare inch of my case, and it still left me with a bag of things I couldn't possibly fit in my case, including my cuddly Sven, that I had to carry round the whole day. So Sven had the time of his life riding Space Mountain.
My sad face and having to leave our room and head home later on.
Once again we used the nifty service called Disney Express, to which meant we could drop our bags off at the hotel in the morning, then later on when we were ready to get on our train home we just had to pick them up from the Disney Express counter in the train station.

Our last day was used to re go on things we really enjoyed, like Space Mountain and Peter Pan's Flight, then of course going round the castle one last time.

We did try and meet as many characters as we could during our days here and the last one we met was Buzz over at the Toon Plaza.

While we cued for Buzz there was a family in front that we got chatting too and we had said how we had only managed to meet two of the Princesses. Meg was saying how much she had really wanted to see Belle, and bless the lady in front was trying to give us pointers and she asked us who else we were with, meaning did we have a younger child with us. Then when Meg and I said that it was only us they gave us a very peculiar look. But you know some teenage girls go to Zante and Magaluf, for girls holidays, oh no Meg and I do it in style and go to Disney Land Paris! To be honest we probably didn't do ourselves any favours walking around in sparkly Minnie ears and cuddly toys...

My Sven and Meg's Thumper accompanied us on the
 Tea Cups one last time.

Throughout the past few days I had vowed that I was going to get one of the Candy Flosses from one of the sweet shops in Fantasyland, so on our last day I finally got one. It was €4, but for the size I'd say that was really good!

It was literally bigger than my head, it was massive!

We spent a while in some of the gift shops making sure there was nothing else we wanted, no more presents we needed to buy, and we also printed off some pictures from our Disney Photo Passes. These are cards in which the photographers from character meet-ups scan your photos onto so that you can go to a photo point in either park and choose to have some printed. These were the two that I had printed, one from when we met Mickey, then one from when we met Minnie and Duffy.

One photo is €15.99, then because I brought a second
one it was €5.
As we wanted to make sure we got our luggage and boarded the train in good timing, so we left the park at about 5:15, to get our train at 6:02, which was a bummer as we missed the Disney Magic on Parade, but we had made an effort to see it one last time the day before, so it wasn't terrible.
We then boarded our train and we were off on our way back to England, and it was bye bye Disney Land Paris... for now.

So overall it wasn't a super eventful day, it was us mainly redoing things, the only things we did that we hadn't  done before was the Armageddon special effects show, which was really cool, and also the Carousel which was lovely and it was playing the tune of the song 'Gaston' from Beauty and the Beast.

Of course I managed to make a few last minute purchases before we went home. I picked up this beautiful Aurora Christmas decoration (planning a bit ahead, I know), then I brought a Cinderella figure to go with my Rapunzel and Aurora. If I could have had it my way, I would have brought them all, they are so beautiful. Then lastly I got some Disney chocolate coins, because who doesn't love chocolate?  And Disney?

Cinderella figure- €12.99
Aurora decoration- €9.99
Chocolate coins- €2.50

So this concludes my Disney Land Paris posts! I had an amazing 5 days and can't wait to go back again, someday.
It really is the most magical place on Earth

Disney Land Paris- Day 4

Our 4th day in Disney Land, which Meg and I joke about and say was our 'photo day', was when the parks got a bit busier, so we did find ourselves cuing for things a lot longer, but to be honest we had basically done everything and were just going back and re-doing things, so it wasn't a problem.

But this was the day where we did look nicest and did feel like part of the parade at times, with our Midi skirts, both from Primark!
This was us in the morning over in Casey's Corner.
Where Rapunzel does her meet and greet
As you can imagine Meg and I were prancing around Disney Land in our lovely flowing skirts and pretending we were princesses, and when the song 'Magic Everywhere' from the Disney Magic on Parade started up we were in our element, because of course by our 4th day we knew all the words to the song!

Throughout the past few days Meg and I had seen so many photo opportunities and points we wanted pictures with so throughout this day we managed to get pictures with basically everything...

From Swords in Stones...

To wishing wells...

To Mike Wazowski...

To Roz...

This is my best Roz face, can you tell?

To pretending to be in a RC box...

To posing by the Toy Story Play Land sign...

And of course we had to have a picture with Rex!

Honestly there is plenty more where that came from, but I shan't bore you with endless pictures of Meg and I posing by water fountains etc. Lets move onto more exciting matters, like meeting the main man himself Mickey Mouse!

You have two ways you can meet Mickey Mouse; one is in Fantasy Land in the Disney Land Park, where there is the Meet Mickey Mouse building which is open from 10:30 till 5:00, where you cue inside and it is made out to be like an old cinema screen, and they play old Mickey and Friends cartoons which is really lovely:

This is the building from the outside it is next to the Alice in Wonderland Maze.

Then inside they played Mickey and friends cartoons

Then of course at the end you meet the main man!

Then the other way you can meet Mickey would be over in the Toon Studio at the Toon Plaza, Mickey or friends (as it is described in the programme) are there from 10:00 till 12:00 then 2:30 till 4:00. Personally I found that meeting him over in Fantasy Land in the Meet Mickey building was better purely because you were given an estimation of how long you would be waiting, the cuing process was much more fun since you could watch cartoons, plus you get a much nicer backdrop and often a little bit more time with Mickey since it is just you and your party in the room. Where as when you meet characters outside where the cue is a lot more open you sometimes feel pressured to get your picture and go, where as they are much more calm and chilled in the Meet Mickey building. But this is only going on personal experience.

Other characters we met that day were Minnie and Mickey's bear Duffy, who is super adorable!

I even got kisses with Duffy, how sweet!
As part of the Swing into Spring celebrations they had going on there was a kind of show/parade over in Fantasy Land on the Castle Stage at certain times of the day, it was called Disney's Spring Promenade, and where we had looked in the programme to see the times we were able to get there in good time so we had front row spots, which was great. The show itself was a mixture of the characters and then dancers which was nice and there was live music as well which gave it a fantastic atmosphere.

The band

Stitch

Mary Poppins and Bert

I loved the girls costumes so much! They were so ladylike and pretty

What show would be complete without Mickey and Minnie?!
Back over in the Walt Disney Studios we watched the only show that we still hadn't watched, which was Animagique. The show itself features songs from some of the classics like The Little Mermaid, Lion King, Dumbo and Jungle Book and its Donald Duck who takes the lead in this show, which is a nice change, but obviously Mickey is still in it!

Another parade type performance we watched was up in the Gazebo in the Town Square, this one was also part of the Swing into Spring theme and was called Welcome to Spring, where the residents of Main Street USA welcomed us to Spring with music and dancing.

The Gazebo like the rest of the park was covered in flowers,
so it really felt like Spring

Once again I loved the ladies dresses, they were so pretty and fancy!
We were also a bit cheeky and since we had spare time we thought we would have a little nosey in the Disneyland Hotel, which is the massive pink building that you walk under in order to get to the park. We wanted to see what it looked like inside and I tell you we were not disappointed.

Clock the palm tree, nothing says fancy like a palm tree, haha!

Big grand stair case

It was so lovely inside, and we must have looked like complete weirdo's strolling in with our sparkly Minnie Mouse ears, but never mind!

Since it was our last full day and the last time we would be able to watch the Disney Magic on Parade, we headed back over to Fantasy Land to get a spot to watch the Parade.

Me looking very excited to watch the parade in my Minnie ears and Sun glasses.
In my defence I was knackered!
I did managed to get some amazing shots of Elsa, which I was super happy with.

Let it go, let it gooooooooo

Just look at the detail on the dress, so lovely!

Shortly after this we then headed back to the hotel as we had planned to go out for a nice dinner on our last night. Over in the Disney Village there are plenty of restaurants to choose from, including Mc Donalds, so there is something for everyone. We chose to go to Planet Hollywood, which is a restaurant filled with props and costumes from movies as well as tasty food.

Meg and I both went for Pizza's and I got some chips as well.

Me sipping my cocktail, because I'm that fancy... not.
Since Meg and I were feeling grown up, well as grown up as an 18 and 19 year old can in Disney Land Paris, we decided to get some cocktails, we both went for the Legally Blonde cocktail which was yummy, well until we started eating our Pizza's they were. Word to the wise, cocktails and Pizza do not mix! But other than that the meal was delicious, and we opted to pay a little extra to keep our cocktail glasses as a souvenir.

We then went onto the Disney Land Park to watch the lights show Disney Dreams one last time.

Last time seeing the sign all lit up, boo.

Meg and I both came prepared as we both brought our newly
bought Princesses blankets.
After enjoying the lights show one more time, it was time to head back to the hotel and finish packing as we were going home the next day, sad times!

Here is the haul from the day, and its pretty much all food or sweets, apart from my Planet Hollywood glass:

Cookie Barrel- €15.99
Planet Hollywood glass- €12.90
Goofy Sweets- €2.99
Maleficent chocolate box- €3.99
So that's day 4, only one day left, boo!

But be sure to check out days 1, 2 and 3 if you haven't already!

Disney Land Paris- Day 3

Hello and welcome to Day 3 of Disney Land Paris! I'd say that this was a very ride themed day where we had managed to go on all the rides in both parks by this third day, which was super good! I think a factor that really helped us out was that the cues were not very long at all! Like for instance the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster we walked straight onto, where you sometimes have to wait at least an hour for, which I've done before.

By our second morning of breakfast Meg and I decided to work out a plan so we could get our breakfast super quick and find a table and be out to the Park as soon as possible. So we decided that a 'tag team' style would be good, where Meg got us drinks and found a table, and I basically loaded up a tray with as many Croissants as possible.

How many Croissants can you fit on one tray?
We then journeyed to the park and in Fantasyland there is a place called the Princess Pavilion, which is basically a building where you meet the Disney Princesses. Now don't be deceived its not that you can meet them all at once there, you can only meet one at the time, which sucks considering the amount of time you cue. When I went in 2013 with my friends from school we cued for over an hour, thinking that we'd meet about 4 princesses, but we didn't. You're led into a room and you meet just one princess, and you have no control over what princess that will be, so its a bit like Princess Russian Roulette. Luckily for me both times we've met Aurora, who is my favourite princess, but when you cue for a very long time you do feel a bit defeated when you come out meeting only one princess.
But this time when we went you cued in the morning to get a card with a time slot on for you to come back later to cue again to meet a princess. So in short; we cued to get a card, so we could cue some more later to meet a princess. Putting it like that makes it sound rubbish, I can see how this system works because they have a cut off point where people can't cue any more and they stop giving out cards, and by having allocated times for people to come back means you can go and do something else. But it does seem ludicrous having to tackle two very long cues just to meet one princess. So Meg and I knew what we were getting ourselves into but we thought since we had pretty much done everything we thought why not, and you also don't really have any other ways of meeting the Princess', as I've never seen any just walking round the park.

So after tackling that massive cue to get our time slot for the Princess Pavilion, we went off and explored, went on some rides and went through Alice's Curious Labyrinth, which is an Alice in Wonderland maze that takes you through parts of the story, which is another one of my favourites.

Entrance to the maze

Which way?

These were our 'we are lost' faces

The end of the maze
After coming out of the maze we were super lucky to find that Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee were just outside signing autographs.

I'm not entirely sure who is who from the photos!

It was then time to head back over to the Princess Pavilion for our time slot to cue. We cued for just over 45 minutes which was enough for me;

Clearly the pressures of cuing were too much for me,
thanks for the picture Meg!

But at the end of that hideous cue we met Aurora, so I was happy!

In the Walt Disney Studios Park they have a parade called 'Disney's Stars 'n' Cars', where you had different Disney characters drive through the park in their cars.

Of course starting it off you had Mickey and Minnie

Ariel in her Sea Shell car

Lilo and Stitch

Jafar and Captain Hook. I just think he looks so evil and sassy here its hilarious
There were more, but like I've said before I don't want this to be an endless stream of pictures, so I'll just give you snippets from the parades. Then using our clever little Programme we were able to go and meet Pluto over in the Toon Plaza.

We also managed to meet Russell from Up earlier that day

The Russell meet-up wasn't in the programme, he was just a lucky spot from
Meg while we were walking around.
I didn't really buy anything this day, the only purchase I did make, besides food, was this lovely photo from the Princess Pavilion when we met Aurora. I through the picture was really nice and I thought that the frame was really cute as well, and just a nice little something to remember the trip.

The photo itself was €15.99, then the frame €4.00. So altogether it was €19.99,
which I thought was fairly reasonable for a nice photo and frame.
So that's Day 3 for you! We're now halfway through the holiday!
